How long does it take to create & deliver an AwesomeBox?

TEMPORARY NOTICE: Due to COVID-19 and the USPS debacle this year, it's smart to plan for a package to take approximately 4+ days longer. Our manufacturer is running on time, but USPS has grown more uncertain — especially with the COVID surge and Holiday packages. In December, USPS has been delay by a surprising amount. We ship from San Jose, CA, so the farther the package has to go, the more buffer you should plan if you want to be safe. Usually, almost all AwesomeBoxes arrive before the host's chosen delivery date. If you would like to expedite your package by using FedEx, read this FAQ and contact us to change the ship method before the deadline.

Share Digital Copy Immediately & Physical Keepsake Arrives Later

If you need an AwesomeBox more quickly, you can plan to complete the box the day before an occasion. Contact us and we'll send you the recipient's unique link, so you can share it with them immediately. They can see all the cards online and listen to the music dedications. Then, the recipient can look forward to the physical box arriving later. People keep the physical AwesomeBox for many years, so it's a nice compliment to seeing the online version.

Package May Arrive Early

We don't have control of how long shipping actually takes — it is an estimate. Due the variability, we attempt to have it arrive a little early. As you can imagine, it's worse to miss an occasion than bust a surprise.

Deadline Date is determined by Delivery Date Host Sets

When you enter the Delivery Date when setting up an AwesomeBox on our site or change it in "Settings," we automatically calculate the Deadline Date for submitting cards by subtracting out days for printing and shipping. The Deadline Date may sometimes remain the same when you change the Delivery Date due to the fact that our printer doesn't work on weekends/holidays and deliveries can't be made on Sundays.

• Domestic Printing & shipping. Once the box is complete, printing and shipping normally takes 5-8 business days within the Continental US.
• International shipping. Hosts need to select a delivery date with at least 3 or more additional business days. The AwesomeBox will take at least 8-11 business days to arrive.
• Participation. Hosts will give invited participants 7-14 days so they have time to make cards, but boxes have been made by a group in as few as a day or two.

If you choose Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020 for your AwesomeBox to be delivered, our site will automatically calculate the deadline as Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020 at 11:59 PM (8 business days before). Therefore, if today was Sept. 12th, your friends or colleagues will have 8 days to complete cards before the deadline at 11:59 PM on Sept. 20th.
