How do I email people a shareable invitation link?

You can share a link via email, SMS, Facebook, etc., in addition to sending the invitations through our site. You must get a special sharable link rather than copying the URL in your browser.

Sending a link, in addition to inviting from our site, sometimes helps if emails get caught in people's spam filter (especially if they're behind a tight corporate firewall).

Three steps to getting your sharable link:

1. Log into the AwesomeBox site from a laptop or desktop computer. Invitations are not able to be sent from a mobile phone.
   
   
2. Navigate to your AwesomeBox page. If your box is already set up, you will see a bright orange "Invite Friends" button.
   
   • If you don't see the invite button, then complete the setup process by clicking the orange Setup link. People you invite will also see an "Invite Friends" button, so you can encourage them to invite anyone who is missing. We block the recipient's address from accidentally being invited.
     
     
3. On the next screen, you'll see a link near the bottom "Get a Link to Share" or "I Still Want A Link" (orange text).
   
   

Keep in mind the benefits of also using our site to invite people:

1. We help you with automatic reminders.
2. Invitees can see who else is participating. This helps build social momentum for greater participation.
3. You can send customized reminders just to the people who haven't added a card yet.
4. Invitees will see examples of cards contributed so far (another key motivating factor). Names of participants and thumbnails of a few cards added so far will be included in the invite email to inspire greater participation.
